Summarizer Known Issues
Please, note the following when working with Intellexer™ Summarizer:
PDF issues
- For your work with PDF documents make sure that you have PDF IFilter installed on your machine. The versions of Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat 7.0.5 and higher already have this filter. Otherwise, download it from the official Adobe web-site.
- For specific combinations of the Microsoft OS and PDF IFilter, an application error might appear after closing the program in case you have summarized a PDF document before.
- Summarization results of PDF documents may be different depending on the PDF IFilter version installed on your machine.
Encondings for documents
Documents in supported format are processed correctly only if they are in ISO-8859-1 (Latin 1) and UTF-8 encodings. If you see odd symbols in the summary, please save the original document in ISO-8859-1 (Latin 1) or UTF-8 encoding and make the summary again.
Summary by e-mail
If you want to send a summary by e-mail and your default mail client is MS Outlook, please, be sure to open MS Outlook beforehand. Otherwise, MS Outlook issue arises:

Summarizing web-pages
The quality of summarized web-pages depends on the techniques and information used to compile HTML pages. To ensure the high quality of a summary, it is recommended to copy selected text on the web-page to the Clipboard and then use the Summarize Clipboard command in Intellexer Summarizer.
